Savory Potatoes And Ham Au Gratin

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375.
  2. Lightly fry chopped ham in butter, about 5 minutes.
  3. Layer 1: potatoes, 2 Tablespoons ham, 2 Tablespoons onion, 1/8 tsp each oregano and thyme, small pinch each garlic salt and onion powder; Parmesan cheese.
  4. Layer 2: potatoes, 2 Tablespoons ham, 2 Tablespoons onion, dash salt and pepper; Parmesan cheese; dot with butter.
  5. Make 4-5 layers.
  6. Pour evaporated milk to just below top layer.
  7. Dot with butter if needed.
  8. Cook, covered, for 1 hour; uncover and cook for another 15-30 minutes to brown. (Cooking times are approximate for your oven.)
