Directions:

  1. First up, put your egg in your kettle/jug (you know, the one you make your cuppa with), fill the jug with water enough to cover egg. click the button and boil the jug. once jug is boiled, leave egg in there for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, rinse your lettuce (i use mesclun/baby spinach, so no chopping, otherwise chop your lettuce too)
  3. Wash and chop your pepper into thin slices.
  4. Peel and julienne or otherwise chop your carrot
  5. Slice tomatoes into 1/8ths
  6. Slice a bit of cheese and dice it (this is to put on top.
  7. Slice your chicken breast and fry in 1tsp of oil until just cooked.
  8. After ten minutes has passed, drain the water out of the jug and fill it with cold water to stop the egg cooking. when it is cool enough to touch, peel and slice the egg and place on top of tossed salad.
  9. Toss salad, arrange on plate, put cooked chicken slices on top, and then put the cheese on top of that. add your balsamic vinagrette and eat! yum!
