Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 (6 oz) package chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts or 1 cup coco nut

Directions:

  1. Cream together shortening and sugars, then add eggs.
  2. Sift into mixture the flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Mix well.
  3. Add the oatmeal, chocolate chips and nuts.
  4. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 minute.
