Raisin Sauce for Ham or Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Combine raisins and water and simmer for 5 minutes; set aside.
  2. Blend together brown sugar, cornstarch and salt; stir into raisin mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until clear and slightly thickened. Mix in vinegar and butter; stir until butter melts.
