Pressure cooker applesauce (even at high altitude)

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup raw sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (if you want more tartness)

Directions:

  1. Mix together the apples, sugar, cinnamon, water and salt in a medium pressure cooker. Cover, lock, and bring to full pressure over high heat. Once cooker is at high pressure (rockin´and rollin´), cook for 4 minutes. Turn off heat and let it cool/release steam for 10 minutes. Open cooker and mash with potato masher or fork. Stir in the lime juice, cool, and serve.
