Pear Bluecheese And Pecan Salad

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In small skillet over medium hear, stir pecans and 1/4 cup sugar
  2. Continue stirring gently until sugar has melted and caramelized the pecans.
  3. Transfer pecans onto a sheet of waxed paper.
  4. Allow to cool and break into pieces.
  5. In a small bowl, combine vinegar, 1 1/2 tsp sugar, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper.
  6. Slowly whisk in the olive oil.
  7. In a large bowl, layer lettuce, pears, blue cheese and onion.
  8. Pour dressing over salad, sprinkle with pecans and serve immediately.
