Old Fashioned Raisin Bars With Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (1 lb) box powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Pour hot coffee over raisins, cool to lukewarm.
  2. Stir in sugar, oil and egg.
  3. Stir together flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  4. Add raisin mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour batter into greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Mix together all ingredients for frosting.
  8. Cool. Spread with icing.
