Nutty Apple Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup soft butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • whipped cream

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar and butter until smooth.
  2. Add egg and beat until fluffy.
  3. Stir flour with cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  4. Mix baking soda with warm water.
  5. Add flour mixture along with baking soda and water to creamed mixture.
  6. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
  7. Fold in apples and nuts.
  8. Spread into well buttered pie pan.
  9. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes.
