Mom's Meatloaf With Maple Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 (1 oz) package onion soup mix
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine meatloaf ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
  3. Spray a 8 x 12-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  4. Form a 9 x 4-inch loaf in sprayed baking dish.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minute
  6. Meanwhile combine glaze ingredients.
  7. Reserve 1/2 cup of glaze for serving.
  8. Drizzle 1/3 of remaining glaze over meatloaf.
  9. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
  10. Drizzle half of remaining glaze over meatloaf.
  11. Bake an 15 minutes.
  12. Drizzle remaining glaze over meatloaf and bake and bake an additional 5-10 minutes.
  13. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
  14. Drizzle remaining glaze over slices when serving.
