Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 8 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup oat bran
  • 1/4 cup millet
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300.
  2. Mix together the water, oil, maple syrup and vanilla in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. In a large soup pot, mix together the remaining ingredients except for the raisins.
  4. Pour the water mixture into the soup pot.
  5. Cook on the stove top on medium to medium low heat, constantly mixing, for about 5 minutes. When the mixture starts to form gluey clumps remove from stove.
  6. Spread out mixture on two cookie sheets very lightly sprayed with oil. Cook for 60 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until the granola is dry and lightly golden in color.
  7. Remove from oven;allow to cool. Mix in raisins.
