Microwave Bread Butter

Ingredients:

  • 4 cup. of lightly packed bread, cut in cubes ( about 4 or 5 slices of bread)
  • 2 cup.of milk ( not skim)
  • 1/4 cup. of butter or margarine
  • 2 lbeaten large eggs
  • 1/2 cup. of packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. of salt
  • 1/2 cup. of raisins

Directions:

  1. First spread bread cubes evenly in an 8-inch round glass pan.
  2. Then sprinkle with the sugar, salt, and raisins.
  3. Next you place milk in a 4-cup glass measuring cup and add the butter.
  4. Now microwave on High for four minutes, until butter melts and milk is warm.
  5. Then you will rapidly, stir in the eggs with a whisk and combine well.
  6. Now pour over bread.
  7. Then you microwave on Medium-High for approx. 9 to 12 minutes.
  8. When cooked, the center may still be slightly soft, but does set up as pudding cools.
  9. Now you can serve warm or chilled; your preference
