Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat macaroni ( dry pasta , 1/2cup)
  • 1 tsp butter flavoured margarine or 1 tsp butter
  • 1 pinch minced garlic
  • 1 pinch onion powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 1/3 cup skim milk or 1/3 cup milk or 1/3 cup cream

Directions:

  1. Combine skim milk and skim milk powder in a small bowl and mix to dissolve; set aside.
  2. Boil water, and cook pasta as directed.
  3. Meanwhile, melt margarine in a small saucepan.
  4. Add seasonings, then flour and whisk.
  5. Add milk from the small bowl, and whisk until combined.
  6. Increase heat, in boil until thickened. turn down heat.
  7. Add cheese, mix until melted.
  8. Add cooked pasta, mix, and let sit for a few minutes before serving.
