Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cut salt pork into thin pieces and cook slowly in skillet until lightly browned. Add celery and green pepper and saute until tender. Transfer skillet mixture to a large kettle. Add potatoes and waqter. Cover and simmer until potatoes are tender. Add tomato juice, tomatoes and onion. Cook gently about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend flavors. Add clams with juice and parsley; warm. Add salt and pepper.
  2. Makes about 4 quarts.
