Ingredients:

  • 115 g arrowroot
  • 3 -5 drops yellow food coloring
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • ghee , as required
  • 60 g almonds

Directions:

  1. Dissolve the sugar in 3 cups of water.
  2. Stir and boil for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain through a sieve lined with muslin cloth.
  4. Mix arrowroot powder with 1.
  5. 5 cups cold water to make a thin paste.
  6. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture turns into one lump-less lump!
  7. Add lime juice.
  8. Stir away!
  9. Gradually add the sugar syrup.
  10. When the mixture sticks to the base of the pan, add 1 tablespoons.
  11. Ghee.
  12. Repeat this step until the mixture becomes a lump again!
  13. Fold in the nuts.
  14. Pour into a greased pan.
  15. Smooth down with a greased spoon.
  16. Allow to cool.
  17. Cut into squares and serve.
  18. Store refrigerated for upto 4 days.
