Directions:

  1. Wash and soak beans for 2 hours with heat (or soak over night).
  2. Simmer uncovered 1 hour.
  3. Add ham, potatoes, onions, carrots, celery.
  4. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 hour.
  5. Add remaining ingredients.
  6. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 hour until thick.
