Honey Baked Red Onions

Ingredients:

  • 3 large red onions
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Peel and cut onions in half crosswise.
  2. Place cut side down in shallow baking dish just large enough to hold all onions in one layer.
  3. Sprinkle with water then cover with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
  5. Turn onions cut side up.
  6. Combine remaining ingredients.
  7. Spoon half of mixture over onions.
  8. Return to oven and bake uncovered 15 minutes.
  9. Baste with remaining honey mixture and continue baking 15 minutes longer.
