French Fried Onion Rings

Ingredients:

  • 1 large sweet onion cut into 1/4 slices
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. In rectangular glass baking dish combine onion and milk then let stand 30 minutes turning often.
  2. On wax paper combine bread crumbs, chili powder and salt.
  3. Preheat oven to 450 then spray nonstick jelly roll pan with cooking spray.
  4. Turn onion rings into bread crumb mixture to coat then place onion rings in pan.
  5. Drizzle evenly with oil then bake 5 minutes on each side.
