Ingredients:

  • 4 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 -2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 -2 cup dates (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dark molasses
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 oz orange marmalade or 8 oz orange rind (thin julienne)

Directions:

  1. Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly.
  2. Mix all liquid ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Combine and bake.
  4. Bake 350 degrees approximately 1 hour.
