Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup cold butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl combine Flour, sugar, Baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.
  2. Cut in butter.
  3. In separate bowl mix eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and pears.
  4. Stir into flour mixture until just moistened.
  5. Spoon into lined or greased muffin tins.
  6. Bake at 350 for 20 min, or until toothpick comes out clean.
