Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp soft butter
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 (18 oz) package yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups eggnog
  • 1/2 tsp rum

Directions:

  1. Grease a Bundt pan with the soft butter.
  2. Press the almonds and cherries against the side and bottom of the pan to make a pretty pattern.
  3. Dust lightly with flour and set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl combine cake mix, nutmeg, eggs,eggnog, melted butter, and rum flavoring.
  5. Beat until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until the cake springs back when pressed lightly.
  7. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning it out.
  8. Cool before serving.
