Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk, oil, egg and vanilla; beat for 1 minute. Pour into greased 9-in square baking pan.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack
  3. Serve with fruit or ice cream if desired.
