Cranberry-Orange Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix first 5 ingredients, then stir in next 4. when well blended add cranberrys and nuts.
  3. Bake for 55 minutes.
  4. If making mini loaves they seem to have to bake for the same amount of time.
