Ingredients:

  • 1 2 to 3 lb chuck roast
  • 2/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup good wine ----red , white no matter it's wine
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 inches ginger cut up then slightly smushed
  • baby carrots if you like them

Directions:

  1. Braise the roast on both sides just until browned
  2. Place in crock pot cover with water then add the rest of ingredents Then let her rip. I always cook for 6 hours
  3. Serve over rice
  4. Left overs are wonderful as is but I have also used them for fried rice for a change.
