Chili Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar , or more as needed
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp clear vanilla extract, or to taste


  1. In a bowl, sift the ground ancho chile, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon with the confectioners' sugar. Beat in the cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until the frosting is smooth; mix in the vanilla extract. Use to frost cupcakes or cakes.
