Chicken Paprika with Chive Dumplings

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 lb chicken pieces
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. In small bowl blend flour well into sour cream; set aside.
  2. In large heavy skillet heat oil add chicken and brown on all sides. Remove chicken; add onion to drippings and asute until transparent, about 5 minutes. Stir in paprika. Add chicken broth, salt and pepper. Stir in sour cream mixture. Return chicken to skillet; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in small bowl combine baking mix and milk; stir in chives. Push chicken pieces aside in skillet and drop dumping mixture in 4 large spoonfuls several inches apart into simmering sauce. Simmer 10 minutes; then add peas, cover and cook 10 minutes more.
