Cabbage and Onion Salad

Ingredients:

  • 12 cups cabbage
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard

Directions:

  1. Chop cabbage and onion and put into layer of each into a large bowl.
  2. Bring other ingredients except oil to a boil. When cool, mix in cooking oil and pour over cabbage and onions.
  3. Let stand over night without stirring. Stir before serving.
