Bill's Amazing Double Dessert Quiche

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 6 large strawberries
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped fig (bill used oregon brand canned figs)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Mix crust ingredients until you have a very smooth, textured dough.
  2. Press into greased pie plate until it's over the edges but not too thinly spread.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes at 325.
  4. For First Layer of Filling:.
  5. Chop strawberries fine.
  6. Mix the strawberries into the cream cheese.
  7. When well mixed, spread cream cheese mixture over baked and cooled crust.
  8. For Second Layer:.
  9. Mix the eggs, figs, vanilla and nutmeg together with fork until well-blended but not frothy.
  10. Pour that mixture into the crust.
  11. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
  12. For Caramel Glaze:.
  13. Meanwhile, over low heat in small saucepan heat brown sugar, butter and milk.
  14. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for five minutes.
  15. When quiche is ready, drizzle the caramel mixture over hot quiche.
  16. Garnish with kiwi fruit slices.
