Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook the Penne noodles according to package. best to leave aldente
  2. In a seperate pot brown the Italian sausage.
  3. Add pinch of salt and pepper and chopped garlic to the sausage near the end.
  4. Drain the sausage. (a paper towel works great!)
  5. Mixed the sauce with the sausage until warm.
  6. Drain the pasta and mix with the sauce and sausage mixture.
  7. In a large rectangular casserole dish, spread a layer of the pasta mixture on the bottom.
  8. In a seperate bowl, combine the cottage cheese, 1 egg, parmesan cheese and parsley flakes together.
  9. Spread the cheese mixture on top of the pasta mixture.
  10. Now spread the remaining pasta mixture on top.
  11. Sprinkle the top with Mozzerella.
  12. Bake in a preheated 350 oven for about 15 minutes.
  13. Let set for approx. 5 mins.
  14. Serve with Garlic bread.
