Whith Chicken Chili

Ingredients:

  • soak 1 lb of navy beans
  • 10 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 chopped medium
  • 1 tbsp of oil
  • 2 4 oz cans of sliced green chilies
  • 2 tsp camino
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • salt to taste

Directions:

  3. Soak 1 pound of navy beans overnight
  4. Drain the next day
  5. Combine beans with 10 cups of chicken broth, 2 cloves of garlic, and 1/2 of the 2 chopped med onions in a large pot and bring to a boil
  6. Reduce heat and simmer until beans are soft ( about 2 hours). Add more broth as necessary.
  7. In a skillet saute second 1/2 of onions in 1 Tablespoon of oil until tender
  8. Add 2 4oz cans of sliced green chilies
  9. 3 cans of tomato quarters and juice from tomatoes,2 tsp camino,1 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp cloves 1/4 tsp cayanne pepper. Mix thoroughly add to bean mixture.
  10. Add 4 cups of diced cooked chicken and continue to simmer 1 hour. Add salt to taste.
  11. Garnish with cheese and sauted onions. ~enjoy~
