Walnut Chocolate Drop Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Melt chocolate squares.
  2. Preheat oven to 350.
  3. Sift together: flour, salt, baking soda.
  4. Add: Shortening, brown sugar, egg, milk, vanilla.
  5. Beat 2 minutes on#2 speed.
  6. Add: Chocolate and nuts.
  7. Beat 1 minute on#3 speed.
  8. Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
