Tricolor Pasta Salad

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large saucepan of boiling salted water add the pasta.
  2. Stir once and boil for 10 – 12 minutes till pasta becomes tender.
  3. Drain the pasta and then hold under cold running water for little while.
  4. Drain thoroughly.
  5. Toss in a little oil to prevent it from sticking.
  6. Place the pasta in a bowl.
  7. Peel stone and dice the pear.
  8. Toss in the lemon juice to prevent it from discoloration.
  9. Add this to the pasta along with tomatoes, cottage cheese and basil.
  10. In a small bowl place the mayonnaise, salad oil, vinegar, sugar, garlic, salt and pepper.
  11. Whisk together with a fork.
  12. Just before serving, pour it over the salad and toss lightly.
