Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups crisco
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream crisco and sugar well
  2. Add eggs one at a time. beat throughly
  3. Add dry ingredients alternately wit milk, beat well.
  4. Add flavoring and beat well
  5. Do not underbeat
  6. Note: you can really BEAT out some frustration with this recipe!
  7. Bake in 10 greased and floured pan or two 5x7 bread pans for about 1 hr to 1 hr and 15 minutes
