Directions:

  1. Combine first 9 ingredients in slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours. (for shorter cooking time, boil potatoes for 5 mins before placing in slow cooker. then slow cook for 1 1/2 hour)
  3. Puree in a blender or food processor, if desired, then return to pot.
  4. Mix together milk, butter and corn starch until no lumps.
  5. Stir into soup mixture and add the rest of garlic.
  6. Cover and cook on HIGH about 45 minutes longer.
