Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Cream butter and brown sugar.
  3. Add egg yolk, vanilla, salt and flour.
  4. Press down in baking dish 9x13
  5. Bake 20 minutes.
  6. Plop in spoonfulls all over hot base. Spread when it starts to melt.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
  8. Cool.
