Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into mixing bowl. Stir to blend completely
  2. Add butter and working with your hands, completely blend with flour until flour resembles course corn meal.
  3. Add milk and blend completely
  4. Add cheeses, herbs and spices, add it all. Don't blend after each addition. Just put all herbs and spices into bowl and blend completely after all the herbs are in the bowl..
  5. Blend completely.
  6. At this point you can make rolled biscuite or make drip biscuits
  7. I have a muffin pan that makes very LARGE muffins.
  8. I use an ice cream scoop and put a dollop the size of a tennis ball into iach muffin compartment.
  9. You can roll them, cut and make normal size biscuits or you can put dollops of dough whatever size you prefer on a cookie sheet and bake
  10. If the biscuits are of normal size, bake 450* for 10 minutes or until golden.
  11. If you are making oversized biscuits bake longer, until top is golden.
  12. When they are done, remove from oven and remove from cookie sheet.
  13. This recipe will make 24 regular size or about 12 extra large biscits
  14. I invented this recipe the other night while I was looking at a batch of biscuit dough. On further thought, I am wondering, how about changing some of the cheese to finely shredded pepper jack cheese?
  15. Also, the bacon salt, if you want to go all bacon salt, omit the 2 tsp of salt in the first part of the recipe and just add 3 tsp of bacon salt.
  16. If you can't get bacon salt , just skip the extra 1 tsp of salt and go for 2 tsp.
  17. Oh, I also forgot Dill. That might be a good addition.
  18. Or some chopped jalapenos.
  19. If you can't find bacon salt, just add some cooked crumbled bacon, or sausage.
