Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Proof yeast with warm water and sugar
  2. Mix flour, salt, baking powder
  3. Warm sour cream in microwave and add egg and beat
  4. Combine all wet ingredients. dough will be sticky (supposed to be). oil hands if its hard to handle, knead for 1 or 2 minutes.
  5. Cover and let rise anywhere from 1-6 hours.
  6. Divide dough into 3 pieces, lightly flour and knead/stretch dough into ovals, circles or triangles. let rest 15 minutes
  7. Meanwhile heat pizza stone in the oven with the broiler on (500 F) for 20 minutes or longer. add naan and cook for 3 minutes, watching closely so it does not burn.
  8. Brush with oil, butter, or leave plain
