Ingredients:

  • 2 large sweet onions
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground sumac

Directions:

  1. Peel and slice the onions as thinly as you possibly can (paper-thin would be great here, if you can manage it).
  2. Toss the onions with the sumac (or the paprika, cayenne and lemon juice, if using).
  3. Serve as a condiment on any Middle Eastern type sandwich (such as kebab).
