Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 4 cups pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Melt margarine and add pecans. Cook and stir 20 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Mix remaining ingredients in plastic container. Add warm pecans and shake to coat. Spread on a baking sheet to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.Packaging instructions: Decorated Bucket: Cover a metal sap bucket with self-adhesive felt. Trim the top and bottom edges even with the bucket. Use decorative-edge craft scissors to cut a vintage Christmasy motif from a postcard or greeting card. Glue the motif to a piece of felt; use craft scissors to trim the felt 1/4 larger on all sides than the motif. Glue the motif to the front of the bucket. Place your gift in cellophane and tie it closed with ribbon. Tie on a tag embellished with decorative paper and a Christmas charm. Place gift in bucket.
