Holiday Spiced Pecans

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce
  • 3/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground garlic
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325º. Heat the oil and butter until melted in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients except for the nuts and salt.
  3. Simmer over low heat 2-3 minutes to blend.
  4. Add the nuts and toss to coat.
  5. Spread on baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, shaking occasionally.
  6. Toss the hot nuts with the salt and let cool to room temperature on a baking sheet.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
