Six-Spice Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 pinch cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Cream together butter/margarine and sugar, then beat in egg and vanilla.
  2. Sift together flour, spices, baking soda and salt, and mix in.
  3. Add oats and raisins and mix well.
  4. Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 375ºF.
