Ingredients:

  • 1 (3 oz.) box of lemon jello
  • 1/2 (3 oz.) box of lemon jello
  • 1 1/2 cups applesauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese,softened
  • 1/2 cup finely diced celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

Directions:

  1. Add red hots to boiling water. Stir. If they don't dissolve completely after a few minutes, remove them.
  2. Add jello and dissolve.
  3. Stir in applesauce and mix well.
  4. Pour 1/2 of the mixture into an 8x11-inch pan and refrigerate until set.
  5. Cream the cream cheese with mayonnaise.
  6. Add celery and nuts.
  7. Spread on top of the set jello.
  8. Add remaining jello and refrigerate until jello is firmly set.
  9. Yes, there is only 1 cup of water in this recipe.
