Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Soak beans over night or quick soak according to the package.
  2. Add beans to 6 cups of water.
  3. Add all seasonings and sauage.
  4. Bring to a rapid boil, and reduce heat to a medium simmer.
  5. Cover, stirring occasionally for 1 to 1 1/2 hour, or until beans or tender.
  6. Remove bay leaves.
  7. If you have a lot of juice and want it thicker:.
  8. Add 1 tbl flour to 1 cup of COLD water and whisk together.
  9. Pour in beans slowly will stirring.
  10. Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes.
  11. Serve over rice with some good garlic bread.
