Quick Tomato Barley Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 (28 oz) can italian tomatoes
  • 2 (10 oz) cans salt-free chicken broth, defatted
  • 1/2 cup pearl barley
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 1 dash allspice

Directions:

  1. Puree tomatoes in food processor.
  2. Pour into saucepan and add remaining ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until barley is soft.
