Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • frosting
  • 3 tbsp margarine or butter
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  2. Cream sugar, margarine or butter, add egg, pumpkin, and vanilla, mix well.
  3. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and combine.
  4. Drop by teaspoon onto greased sheet.
  5. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
  6. Cool.
  7. Makes 4 dozen.
  8. For frosting, boil margarine or butter, milk and brown sugar for 2 minutes.
  9. Let cool and add sifted powdered sugar and vanilla.
  10. Will be thin but will thicken as it cools on cookies.
