Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (8 oz) bag chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Cream pumpkin and shortning.
  2. Add sugar and cream.
  3. Add rest of ingredients, adding chocolate chips last.
  4. Drop by small spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
