Ingredients:

  • 29 oz pumpkin
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 1/3 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder , and
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. -preheat oven to 350.
  2. -combine shortening and sugar with a mixer.
  3. -add pumpkin, eggs, and water.
  4. -stir.
  5. -add in the rest of the ingredients.
  6. -grease the bottom of four pans.
  7. -cook 45 minutes to one hour (cook longer if needed). Use a toothpick to test if they are cooked through.
