Sorghum Molasses Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup sorghum
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Beat shortening, sugar, eggs an sorghum.
  3. Stir in flour,soda,salt and cinnamon. Mix well.
  4. Stir in oats.
  5. Add in raisins, chips as desired.
  6. Drop dough by huge tablespoons, about 3 apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
