Pecan Pie Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (21 1/2 oz) pakage deluxe fudge brownie mix (pillsbury suggested)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom only of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter; stir in flour until smooth. Add brown sugar add 2 eggs; mix well. Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and pecans. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine brownie ingredients; beat 50 strokes with a spoon. Spread in prepared pan. Spoon fillling evenly over top. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until set. *Do not overbake.* Cool completely. Cut into 24 bars.
