Peanut Macaroons (1924)

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 7/8 cup sugar (3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Combine flour, salt and peanuts. Set aside.
  3. Beat eggs.
  4. Add sugar and mix well.
  5. Add peanut mixture to egg mixture.
  6. Mix in vanilla extract.
  7. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Cool on rack.
