Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups raw peanuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Combine peanuts, sugar, corn syrup, and salt in Dutch oven.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring gently until sugar dissolves.
  3. Cover and cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes to wash down sugar crystals from sides of pan.
  4. Uncover and cook, stirring occasionally, to hard crack stage (300F).
  5. Stir in butter, soda, and vanilla.
  6. Pour into buttered 15-x10-x1 inch jellyroll pan, spreading thinly.
  7. Let cool.
  8. Break into pieces.
